The rider behind the shop

I'm Simon — based in Te Awamutu, in the Waikato, and out on the bike most weeks of the year. I ride with the Te Awamutu Sports Cycling Club, train through the winter and summer series, and I'm building toward the Shimano Round Taupō 160km later this year.

Kakepuku Bike Club started because I was tired of guessing whether a part from an online listing was actually any good. Everything in this shop gets vetted the way a good club mate would vet it for you — ridden, tested, and rated by real cyclists first. If it wouldn't earn a place in my own kit bag, it doesn't earn a place in the shop.
