Photochromic lenses darken and clear as the light changes, which suits rides that start early or run into dusk. Fixed UV400 tints cost less and are better if you mostly ride in consistent light, and multi-lens sets give you the flexibility of both. Look for shatter-resistant lenses and a frame light enough that you forget you're wearing it.
